“The ability to start out upon your own impulse is fundamental to the gift of keeping going upon your own terms. . . . Getting started, keeping going, getting started again— in art and in life, it seems to me this is the essential rhythm. ”
Anytime we choose to alter our habits, change something, or seek to improve our lives it has to be fueled by our heart and intuition. In order for a morning routine to really impact you on a cellular level, you have to be connected to why it matters to YOU, otherwise it’s useless and becomes another to-do.
So what is the point of a morning routine anyway?
If it stresses you out it is counter productive. It’s a sacred space, so make it what you want.
So I have 3 questions that you can ask yourself when you are contemplating what your morning routine might look like.
QUESTION #1: Is your morning routine giving you what you want?
QUESTION #2: HOW DO YOU WANT TO FEEL going into your day?
QUESTION #3: What do you need to give yourself permission to do?
My Non-Negotiable Criteria for a Morning Routine that Rocks:
#1: It has to be guided by Intuition
#2: It has to light you up.
#3: It has to include gratitude
I encourage you to create a morning routine that leaves you feeling empowered. Let it leave you feeling more peace. Everything is happening FOR you-so allow your routine to reflect this.
