“We can’t let ourselves be seen if we’re terrified by what people might think. Often ‘not being good at vulnerability’ means that we’re damn good at shame.”
– Brene Brown
Women are the hardest on other women, hands down.
Most women feed of jealousy and judgements of other women. I often say that when we go out, we aren’t dressing for men – we are dressing for other women.
Everything in our culture tries to pit us against other women.
We wear mask upon mask and hide what is really going on and simple
We make others look bad because we think it will make us look better.
WE JUDGE EACH OTHER IN 3 MAIN WAYS
1. BODY BASHING
2. COMPARISON
3. JUDGING
We hide our stories behind the games we play with other women and it’s because we feel shame!
The definition of shame:
“Shame is the intensely painful feeling or experience of believing that we are flawed and therefore unworthy of love and belonging.”
But we must combat these games with EMPATHY.
and remember that SHE IS ME.
