“The essence of courage is to willingly feel our vulnerability; this is what allows us to respond to life with an undefended, wise heart.”
All of us run to some degree when it all gets too real. When we have to face something deep that we’ve spent a long time avoiding. A belief, a fear, a story, a feeling, a desire.
Our demons in the closet.
And so we resist. We deflect. We go into fight, flight or freeze.
WHAT ARE YOU RESISTING?
WHAT ARE YOU AFRAID OF?
WHAT ARE YOU SCARED TO ADMIT?
What if I told you that that thing you’re avoiding admitting, or that fear you’re feeling, or the resistance that is showing up in our life… the procrastination, the deflecting, the diverting is actually an invitation into your deepest freedom.
That’s the invitation.
That’s when we are being asking to level up, to go to the next level of healing, to step into our power.
That’s the call.
When you don’t want to do something…it’s usually the very thing you must do.
But the payoff is SOOOO worth it.
THE JUICE IS WORTH THE SQUEEZE. LEAN IN. THERE IS MAGIC THERE.
So, where have you been refusing to grow?
What have you been avoiding looking at?
Where is the Resistance showing up in your life?
The beautiful thing about all of this, is that we don’t have to let the fear control our lives. Often times when we are in this resistance, we are just operating out of our lizard brains. That primitive brain that says: fight, flight, freeze – and get my needs met at all cost to feel comfortable and safe again. But the good news is that we are evolved humans. We can actually step back and observe our reactions to our triggers, and choose to operate from our higher selves. We can choose to slow the process down and get curious about our fear. To treat it with welcomed arms like an old friend and invite it to speak. We can choose courage and stare our demon in the face.

“When the resistance is gone, the demons are gone.”
If we deny the demons, it just feeds them. It keeps him in the dark festering.
But we can shift all of this if we remember these 4 powerful beliefs:
Belief #1: Your fear is a liar
Belief #2: Resistance is your beacon
Belief #3: I can’t F it up
Belief #4: I am not alone
So, what does it mean to be courageous in this moment?
What would I do if I were brave?
What would I do if I knew I couldn’t fail?
What would love do?
What would you admit?
Where are you going to choose to lean in?
We know how to run and hide and avoid and fight and defend. And this is why it’s a practice staying open when you want to shut down. Remembering that fear is a liar, and resistance is your beacon. It’s your lighthouse. Run towards that. Move when your voice is shaky, and when your legs trimble. Do it anyway. Because you have nothing to lose really. You can’t screw it up There is redemption and grace every single step along the way. You are not alone my friends.
