People who are successful are either highly disciplined or they had no other choice but to figure it out. Pressure and pain often will push us to be resourceful and figure out what we need to do to be successful. The good news is you don’t have to have all of the knowledge before you can be successful, sometimes you just figure it out along the way.

We often make assumptions that people who are successful had a lot of help and support along the way. But the truth is, for most people, there was no quick fix. They showed up everyday and where consistent whether someone else was watching or not.

When you love what you do it allows you to continue to show up even when no one seems to be paying attention to what you are doing.

In business you often have to be willing to ask… and ask again. Success often comes from being in a posture of asking. In order to help increase your chances of a “yes” you have to be clear with people about what’s in it for them and make sure you are targeting people who are going to benefit from what you are offering. Strategic partnerships and developing those relationships are key to the growth and success of your business.

Building strategic partnerships might feel a bit tricky right now when we don’t have access to people face to face. But we do have access to people through social media. And the truth is is that we can reach more people everyday on social media than we would ever have the time to see in person.

Most Important Ways to Use Social Media to Grow Your Business Right Now

Focus on what you love– You don’t have to do everything on every platform. Anything is hard if it isn’t for you.If you hit blocks every time you go to post something, you aren’t going to do it. Focus on the platforms that you feel most comfortable on, that your audience is using, and that you do well.

Be consistent– Build it. Ask them. Ask them again. Try and convince them. Give it some value. Ask them again. And maybe they will come. You have to be willing to talk about it when no one is listening and show up when no one else is there. You have to be willing to be consistent and say the same things over and over again from all different angles.

Selling a Product vs Building a Personal Brand

There are elements of personal brand in selling a product. People buy things from people they like. You have to prove that you know what you are talking about and that what you are selling lines up with who you are as a person. If you are selling a product that doesn’t line up with who you are, people aren’t going to trust you. In order to sell a product people have to trust you. You are the face behind your product.

No matter what your product or your service is you have to be willing to meet each customer as an individual where they are. People want to feel like you are talking just to them. You are the expert in what you do. You have to bring it down to meet your customer. Don’t assume that people already know what you have to offer.

Love the customers you have, even if its just a few. If you don’t love the customers you have, you won’t get more. What you focus on expands.
