Just like the rest of us Amy is a woman who is doing the hard work learning to love herself.
So many of us have this deep subconscious belief that we can only be successful if we are thin. We assume that people with certain body types are content with their bodies and have it all together. These things are just not true.
So many of us feel insecure about our bodies and allowing them to be seen. It is a spiritual practice to show up and allow yourself to be seen my others, flaws and all.
The more you show up and allow yourself to be seen, the easier it becomes. It is a practice. In order to be present in the moment we have stop hyper focusing on our bodies.
The courage to do this starts with allowing yourself to be seen by you! You need to stand in your willingness to accept yourself, as is. Your relationship to your body is between you and you.
The messaging we get as women is to be small and not take up too much space. But we need to allow ourselves to have a bigger presence, make a bigger splash, have a bigger voice. We need to allow ourselves to be a big deal.
When you decide to accept your body as is, then you can make decisions about how you want to eat, move your body, be in relation to your body… from a place of love, not for love.
The quickest way to snap out of the self pity that comes when we are hyper focused on your body, is to be of service to others. When we do this there isn’t space to be consumed with our bodies. What could we do if stopped allowing our bodies to take up so much space in our heads? We need to stop being addicted to self shame. It takes up so much energy. When we liberate that energy we can create the life we want to live and be of service to those around us.
